Here's my first review of the AB3.0 Replacement Pads from Darko.
The pad arrived sooner than I thought, which was great. I've mainly used it for heavy incline benches, light bench presses, and dumbbell flies. The extra width really helps with these exercises, and it's made a noticeable difference in my shoulder stability and lockout.
Cons:
The pad is a bit expensive. That said, if you already have a Rogue bench, the cost is well worth avoiding shoulder problems down the line.
The grippy material works well, but it appears vulnerable to scratches from a weight belt.
The fabric could benefit from more staples and a tighter fit on the bench.
Pros:
The pad transforms the Rogue bench into a genuinely comfortable lifting surface. It provides excellent shoulder support and completely eliminated my sliding and uneven lockout issues.
The grippy material does its job well.
The color combination looks great.
I'll post a follow-up review after completing a flat bench cycle to share my final thoughts.
I had a rogue flat bench and the ab 3.0. I almost never wanted to use the 3.0 because of the narrow uncomfortable pad. This completely changed that! I even sold the other bench because I like this one so much now! The width is great. The feel is great. This is how the bench should have came from Rogue. Worth every penny!
