Whether you've been with us since the very beginning or just discovered us for the first time, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves, share our story, and talk about where we're headed.
Who We Are
Darko Lifting is a small, family-owned company based in Southern California that designs and manufactures innovative accessories for home gyms.
But before Darko Lifting was a business, it was a garage gym.
Like many of you, I started building my gym because I wanted a better place to train. What began as a collection of equipment during the COVID era quickly turned into an obsession with making my space more functional, organized, and enjoyable to use.
That obsession eventually led to designing products for myself. Then friends wanted them. Then other home gym owners wanted them. Before long, Darko Lifting was born.
Where It Started
In September of 2022, we launched our very first product: the Barbell Anchor.
The idea was simple. I wanted a better way to store my Marrs Bar in my own gym. After designing a solution and sharing it with the home gym community, the response was encouraging.
What started as a single product made in a garage has grown into a company with more than 20 products and customers in over 40 countries around the world.
Today, Darko Lifting products can be found in more than 10,000 home gyms.
Not bad for an idea that started between workouts.
Why We Do What We Do
The answer is simple: because we're home gym owners first.
Every product we create starts with a real problem. Most of the time, it's a problem I've personally experienced while training in my own gym.
We're not a large corporation with a product development team disconnected from the people who use the equipment. We spend our days lifting, training and interacting with the same communities our customers are part of.
We're active in Facebook groups, Reddit communities, Discord servers and industry events because that's where the best ideas come from.
The goal has never been to create products for the sake of creating products.
The goal is to make training better.
A Huge Milestone
Earlier this year, we reached one of our biggest milestones yet: moving out of the garage and into our first warehouse.
For years, Darko Lifting operated out of a space that was part gym and part fulfillment center. As the company grew, so did the stacks of inventory, printers, packaging supplies, and steel parts.
The move into our warehouse represents far more than additional square footage. It's proof that this community has supported a small business enough to allow us to keep growing, improving, and investing in the future.
For that, we're incredibly grateful.
What's Next
The future of Darko Lifting is the same as its past: listen to the community, solve problems, and keep building.
You'll continue to see new products, improvements to existing designs, and collaborations with other companies and creators in the home gym space.
You'll see us experimenting, innovating, and sometimes taking risks on ideas that might seem a little crazy at first.
Most importantly, you'll continue to see products designed by people who actually use them.
We're still a small company. We're still learning. And we're still obsessed with making the best home gym accessories possible.
